The Junior League of Florence, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. We have served the Florence community for over 50 years and have a rich history of improving the quality of life for children and families in the Pee Dee. We have and continue to be a catalyst for many worthwhile causes.
The Junior League is continuing its mission of community service. The League's annual development campaign began March 1, 2002. Various giving options are available. We will hold our annual fundraiser, Merry Marketplace in October. This is a three-day shopping extravaganza and gala event. Giving options related to Merry Marketplace are advertisement in the program, patron levels for the gala or contributions to the silent auction. Other options include advertisement in our annual magazine, the Catalyst, which is distributed to League members, our supporters, community and business leaders as well as all levels of elected officials.
Consider supporting the Junior League of Florence. It's money well spent. Please call the League office at 667-0376 for more details on the various options for contribution. Our projects and programs are possible because of the wonderful support we receive from area businesses and individuals. When you give to the Junior League of Florence, you really do give to the people of the Florence community.
